Session 7: Port Maraisa and the White Skull Fortress
Returning to Port Maraisa
After considering our options, we decided to return to Port Maraisa. We noted the key figures and issues at play:
- Orcs: The White Skull orcs, including their Laguna-kin shamans, are fortified in the Omlarandin Mountains. We believe they can be tracked from Bad Doric.
- Riatavin and Etienne Auttencort: Albrecht’s target, Etienne, is linked to the White Skull through his interest in chattel slavery. He operates outside Aurelian territories.
We identified stops that may be interesting in Port Maraisa:
Mother Isabel Verduna
A kind, human healer who helps the halflings in Port Maraisa and leads healing efforts at The Lazaretto. She is a priestess of [[Ilmater]].
Relationships
- Sister Nightsong: Associate nurse at The Lazaretto
Quests
- The Orphaned Halflings Mother Verdura agreed to help the party find a new home for Elara and Finnegan. She recommended following up with Delridge at The Big Tree.
Other Notes
- Mother Verduna gathers supplies from Port Maraisa every week or two. The halflings help here because they’ve never grown sick in her presence. The humans probably don’t know that she even does this, and would probably not like it. 1

Session 08 - Copilot
Battle Aftermath & Orc Fortress
After our intense battle with the orcs, we took a brief respite and then retraced our steps back up the mountain. The path we chose led us back to the site of our previous skirmish. Much to our dismay, the corpses of the orcs and goblins had been looted by goblins. Pressing on, we discovered a strong mead and ventured into the village square. It was here that we encountered an unconscious guard and several imprisoned goblins. Among them was Mukumak, a half-orc teenager, who revealed vital information about the cave system and the Laguna-kin. We struck a deal with the goblins, exchanging copper and a keg of liquor for a secret entrance to an ancient temple.
