The Saliran Massacre
The Saliran Massacre
The massacre of the town of Saliran during the Calishite Campaign.
When the main force reached Saliran and realized Glaive and Arrow were lost, Zev led the investigation. The evidence they found led him to believe the scouts had been murdered by locals.
A group of miners were hung outside the town gate as punishment for the murders, and when the mayor, Nadir, tried to stop them he was struck down in the street, and the ensuing protestors ridden down by Cori calvary.

The Savelli Family
The Savelli Family
One of the older families, wealth generated through their vineyards and trade in spirits and luxuries (some would say vices). Debauched but charming, well liked as they sponsor most festivals, public events, etc.
The Small Brothers
The Small Brothers
“We’re the biggest deal in town!” - Delridge Berryroot
A named organization in Port Maraisa that seems closely related to the halfling citizenry in the city and possibly the organized criminal element of the city. They are getting their cut.
The Small Brothers have stepped into the gap left by the labor conflict between The Merchant Consortium and The River Guild. They are moving goods, making money, and keeping tabs on the party’s activities.1
The Traffic Jamming
The Traffic Jamming
We’ve uncovered a trafficking ring involving Boblin, The Wool Merchants, Etienne Auttencort, and Albrecht Moray.
Notes
We determined the following from interrogating Boblin and Grottio Montony:
- Etienne Auttencort regularly purchases slaves from the wool merchants.
- Etienne Auttencort places an order with the wool merchants.
- The wool merchants contact Boblin with the order.
- Boblin works with contacts, likely remnants of The White Skull, east of Port Maraisa to take captives that meet Etienne’s order.
- Boblin sells the captives to the wool merchants.
- The wool merchants return to Riatavin with the kidnapped captives and sell them to Etienne Auttencort
- Boblin killed [[Mathis]], the wool merchant, because a side deal went wrong:
- Boblin and the wool merchants were approached by Albrecht Moray with a special contract.
- Albrecht Moray asked them to abduct the halfling children themselves and send them to Etienne Auttencort in Riatavin.
- We foiled the job when we resolved The Orphaned Halflings.
- Boblin killed [[Mathis]] because the halflings were no longer with the caravan when he arrived to capture them, constituting a breach-of-contract in Boblin’s estimation
- Albrecht’s contract required that the children spend time with The White Skull in Bad Doric. It was not immediately clear why.
- The children were described as having small incisions on the back of their necks near the hairline. The meaning of this is unclear

The Twisted Axle
The Twisted Axle
Settlement: Aureltaran (about 1 day west) Proprietor: Alessio Salvatore
The Twisted Axle sits a day’s easy ride west from Aureltaran, along the trade road that follows the River Esmel. If the tales are to be believed it was founded when old man Salvatore’s wagon broke down from, you guessed it, a twisted axel. Without the tools to repair it he began to sell his wares to other travelers on the road and eventually decided he’d be better off catering to the merchants than being one. Three generations later, under the management of his grandson Alessio Salvatore, it’s a popular last-stop before reaching the capital and a superstitious reminder among merchants and travelers to favor opportunity over plans.
