Lighthouse
Barrick learns that in order to fix the lighthouse, glass floats were shattered, flames erupted from top damaged the lens - specialized.
The boat could take us to the dock on the same side of the river, or maybe two people at a time to cross back over.
We return to the Lazaretto.
Lazaretto
We meet the half-elf guard [[Leppett]] at the entrance - he didn’t know Julietta. He has a well made Bastard sword. He takes us to Mother Verduna.

She takes us to the Temple of [[Ilmater]] to rest.
Bikke asks her how long the Rotting Disease was around? About 20 years, last generation.
We take a long rest and it is now 4pm. One level of exhaustion.
Barrick asks about Julietta. Other girls at the Vintner’s or the Small Brothers may know more about Corina.
Kira asks about the plants. Mother Verduna planted many of the medicinal herbs. Blue Aloe plant cut Dander.
Bikke notices everyone else seems to be depressed.
Isabel Verduna says some folks may be interested in tending the lighthouse. If River Guild would donate food and supplies, folks here would be willing to run the Lighthouse.
We return back to the docks. Mother Verduna sends [[Leppett]] with us. He is charming and agreeable.
The Docks
Dander returns. We get on the boat. He tells us Boblin is now locked up because someone, an unnamed Human Merchant, tried to buy Port’s services a few hours ago.
As we get back to the north shore, the exhaustion goes away.
We meet Delridge who is waiting for us. Barrick asks about who could fix the Lighthouse. Calimshin could provide parts to fix it. Lighthouses were build hundreds of years ago - way before his time.
Gavin, Bikke, Kira go back to bed at the [[Golden Coin]].
Vintner’s
Barrick and Hugh go to [[the Vintner]] to get drunk. Rowan is there and lets us in, pours us drinks. Tells us that Ergzett Rukk got arrested - he’s in Dominico Falcone’s cellar. Rowan saw some of it - old, fat, bald, pale, robed merchant comes through, loses a bet, goes into a room with Port. They were drunk, mildly rude. When Rowan came out of room, saw thick sheet of blood coming out from underneath door. Port was sitting in a corner, bored, picking nails as the merchant was bleeding out.
Heard Boblin had blood on cuffs. Boblin has the merchant’s purse. Merchant’s friends left town quickly - shipped out this morning. They had Tethyr / Darromar accents.
We head back to Gold Coin to go to sleep.

Next morning after breakfast…
City Hall
We go talk to Dominico Falcone at his office and tells him about the Lighthouse and that Mother Verduna could find folks to tend the lighthouse once it is fixed.
Designer of Lighthouse mechanics is in Memnam (at the end of the river).
He doesn’t know much about Corina.
Dominico Falcone asks us to interrogate Boblin, who has not been forthcoming, disrespectful. Merchant, [[Mathis]], was the one who was killed. Confirms most of the same story as Rowan told us. Tells us about blood on cuffs, dagger, purse. Boblin didn’t resist when arrested. Not denying it, but not cooperating. Breaking the pots in the cellar.
The Merchant Consortium has a few cells, but Dominico Falcone didn’t want to put them there. Expected that merchan’ts might have lynched Ergzett Rukk.
Bikke and Gavin go down to interrogate Ergzett Rukk (Ergzett “Boblin” Rukk).
Gavin plays good cop, subtle spells casts Charm Person on Boblin - fails. Boblin claims merchant broke contract. Boblin thinks Gavin is his lawyer - “zealous advocate in the law”. Wants blood contract - they make the contract.
Boblin says the halfling kids were for me, contract broken, wouldn’t pay back. Unsure what kids they were - but a brother and sister from Riatavin. Both kids have scar on hairline. Vintner were not part of this deal, for another client - man in Riatavin. Paid extra for these kids, these specific kids. Made arrangement to get rid of kids’ families.
Buyer also buys other people - not just kids. Boblin proposes killing Dominico Falcone.
Etienne Auttencort (of the Auttencourt) is aware of this deal.
Boblin wants us to capture Bad Doric (an old human town - no humans there - Goblins there now - south of the river, Sout East at the edge of the marsh), bring Merchants there, and get Boblin loose.

Offers to cut us in on this deal if we get the kids back.
Kira, Hugh, and Barrick kill Boblin after Bikke and Gavin go back upstairs.
Boblin had been a member of the White Skull Goblin Gang. Dominico Falcone is concerned about this gang operating in Port Maraisa.
Dominico Falcone is reluctant to point a finger at Etienne Auttencort because that family supports Port Maraisa, and is his patron.
